The meals were perfect and fantastic. the staff was accommodating throughout the hotel. - the location is marvelous and ideal, only a 10-15 minutes' walk from La Paloma. - Conveniently within walking distance to a bakery and stores across the street.

The hotel property was lovely little with marvellous location close to Beach and restaurants, Plaza Las Americas, and a lot of good restaurants. There was decent food, the staff was welcoming and nice. I thoroughly enjoyed their early check in and the service was great! You guys made my stay relaxing.

The hotel is a quiet, little gem with an excellent location close to stores, restaurants, an undeveloped beach, and easy access to Luquillo and Culebra. A great selection of food is offered for breakfast, everything was decent. Overall, Oceana Hostal Playero in San Juan is a peaceful and conveniently located place with a good breakfast spread.

The courtyard had wonderful trees nestled near the Bistro and Villas. The pool was also relaxing, with the waterfall. Make sure to eat at breakfast in the morning: though not terrible filling, the coffee is superb, and the atmosphere in the dining area is authentic San Juan.

I was disappointed that we were not allowed to check in a couple hours early. Another group of tourist experienced the same thing. Also, the hallways were very narrow and there is no elevator. It seemed as though every was at a 9/10 scale from the real world. While in general the staff was helpful, there was an amateurish nature to their work. Also, only two towels were provided.

Room wasn't ready, wasn't clean after being ready, apathetic staff in morning especially.Was right on the bus line to town but when we asked how to get to old town, he said "a taxi".

Great service and very nice staff. Large room with a balcony for a wonderful experience. - Lots of decent food options for meals. - Nice pool and convenient onsite parking. - Appreciated the option for early check-in.

For the price was excellent....very close to all attractions...great restaurant just a few blocks out...fast food joints just a few blocks away..located in a residential area...like it a lot...

The staff were all friendly, helpful and professional. The place was also just 2 short blocks from Condado Beach, one of the best in San Juan. The staff also run a killer vegan bistro, Pura Vida, on the first floor of the hotel.

While this is one of the cheaper places to stay in San Juan, the "Hostal" in the name is a misnomer. You will likely still be disappointed about what you get for your money. The bed was rock solid, the bathrooms are tiny, and there is no internet available in the rooms. All for about $110 per night. That being said, I would stay there again because I just can not fathom paying $250-300 to stay anywhere in San Juan, which is the range most other places were asking.

The hotel is just a short walk to a nice beach. The outdoor pool is small but very nice. The restraunt / cafe on the first floor is very nice. Hotel staff is very nice.

The hotel rooms were in serous need of major renovation. Bathroom was in very poor shape. Mismatched tile in shower, yellowed vanity top, pealed paint, crackd mirror. THe hotel is 3 stories and has no elevator.

The hotel is trendy and located in the Ocean Park district close to shops, restaurants, and the airport. the staff is friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist. the accommodation is centrally located in town. They offer a variety of meal options and the food is delicious.

i like the sense of privacy..the staff was very caring and willing to help you in anything i needed. even thou i didnt not enjoy of the complementary food it smelled great. room service was available at any time as needed. no major complaints. I will definetly stay @ oceana again!

The hotel is two blocks fromt the beach.

They charged me more than expected according to my internet agreement. The lamp on the night stand didn't work; there was no water in the shower; the air conditioner in the dining room didn't work, and neither did the fan; the breakfast wast very bad (choice of coffee or juice). They placed us in the third floor and there was no elevator. Will never go back there!
